Product Overview

The Extra-Firm Car-Cush® is a higher density cushion with a higher support factor that is recommended for persons over 200lbs and for those who prefer an extra firm seating surface.

Scientifically designed to relieve and prevent back pain and other discomforts associated with sitting. 

The Tush-Cush® brand of cushions are the original design of the wedge-shaped cushion with cutout and built-in handle that provides seating comfort and is a brand recommended by Doctors and Physical Therapists worldwide.

Product Features

  • The unique cutout suspends the tailbone (coccyx) in air, which reduces the pressure on and within the lower spinal discs. 
  • The wedge shape causes the pelvis to tip forward to help restore the spine’s natural lumbar curve. 
  • Microsuede Upholstery grade fabric covers are 100% hand washable in cold water, hang dry. Faux Leather covers are made of a breathable vinyl and can easily be wiped clean.

Still the best for driving comfort

I have been using a Car-Cush since I got my first car in the 1990's. From then on, I've never driven without one. (If I am driving someone else's car, I make sure to bring my cushion along.) I appreciate that Tush-Cush makes their cushions in sizes appropriate for different size vehicles.

I find the general tilt back angle of the car seat to be very uncomfortable and counterintuitive to a good driving posture. Not only does the angle of my Car Cush correct that back tilt so that I am comfortably sitting up straight, but it further raises my seated position high enough for proper visibility while maintaining a safe distance from the steering.

Best cushion around.

Comfortable, secure, and supportive seat!

I love my Car-Cush! I've been a pain in my own butt for far too long, and driving makes everything worse. I started driving for work and thought, this is no good! The Car-Cush has made a huge difference. When I had questions about adjusting it to fit my seat, the company responded quickly and gave me excellent advice and support. I really can't recommend it enough! I have the blue one and I love the color.

Best on the Market

I spent literal hours searching online for a sacral/coccyx wedge after my physical therapist recommended one to help correct posture due to scoliosis. I even bought another product before I found the tush cush and sent it back because the foam was so soft it was a total waste. When I found the tush cush, I measured my tush and found that the car cush would be wide enough for me both at my desk and in the car. Ordered the extra firm because of my previous experience. Received it today and I can already tell it's great. Almost exactly like the one from my PT's office. Good quality, firm, corrects posture while sitting. Yay!
