Product Overview

The Extra-Firm Car-Cush® is a higher-density cushion with a higher support factor recommended for persons over 200 lbs and those who prefer an extra-firm seating surface.

Scientifically designed to relieve and prevent back pain and other discomforts associated with sitting. Car-Cush® is the perfect companion in your car, office chair, airplane, bus, train, and more.

The Tush-Cush® brand of cushions are the original design of the wedge-shaped cushion with cutout and built-in handle that provides seating comfort and is a brand recommended by Doctors and Physical Therapists worldwide.

Product Features

  • The unique cutout suspends the tailbone (coccyx) in air, reducing pressure on and within the lower spinal discs. 
  • The wedge shape causes the pelvis to tip forward to help restore the spine’s natural lumbar curve. 
  • Removable fabric covers are 100% hand-washable in cold water and hang dry.
  • Removable faux Leather covers are made of a breathable vinyl and can easily be wiped clean.

Product Dimensions:

Depth: 13″ (From the back of the seat towards the front of the seat)
Width: 16″ (From side to side)
Height: 3″ in the back, tapering down to 1″ in the front.
Weight: 14 oz.

Slight variation in actual size may occur as all covers and foam are cut to exact size specifications, and the foam insertion may cause a slight size variance.

 Measure Your Seat Surface:

Using a measuring tape or device, measure the flat seating surface you will place the cushion on.

Depth is the measurement from the back of the seat to under your knees. The cushion will not traditionally meet the front edge of your seat as the taper to 1" provides room for your knees under the steering wheel. 

Width is the flat surface, side to side, that you will sit on. If you have upholstery bolstered on each side, only measure the flat seating surface between the bolstered areas.

Great for Cellists!

This fits perfectly on my cello chair and provides excellent support and the right amount of tilt forward so that I can play for hours without back pain. I chose the extra firm so that I could sit a bit higher and so far, the foam does not sag at all!
