Product Features:
Coccyx cut-out: This calibrated opening provides excellent seating comfort by suspending the tailbone in the air, which reduces the pressure on and within the lower body and spinal discs.
Wedge-shaped design: features a 3" raised back tapering down to a 1" high front, and the wedge restores the spines natural lumbar curve. Physical therapists recommend having the hips higher than the knees to positively affect all-over posture.
Foam: We only use top-quality polyurethane foam in Original or Extra Firm as it does not degrade over time. We never use latex or memory foam in Tush-Cush® products.
Removable Covers for Ease of Cleaning: Velour (microsuede) removable covers are 100% hand washable on cold, hang dry. Faux Leather covers are made of breathable vinyl and can easily be wiped clean.
Built-in carry handle design: Tush-Cush® products are the perfect cushion to easily take along on your travels and adventures as Tush-Cush® can be easily carried along and attached to your luggage!
Compact Car Cush Product Dimensions*:
Depth: (back to front): 14″ Width: (side to side): 13″ Height: 3″ rise in the back, tapering down to 1″ high in the front. Weight: 14 oz.
*Slight variation in actual size may occur as all covers and foam are cut to exact size specification and the foam insertion may cause slight size variance.
How do I know which Tush-Cush® Cushion to buy?
Measure your seat surface.
Using a measuring or ruler device, measure the flat seating surface that you will place the cushion on.
Depth is the measurement from the back of the seat to under your knees. Tush-Cush® products are designed to be shorter in depth than your seating surface.
Width is the flat surface, side to side. If you have upholstery that is raised on each side, only measure the flat seating surface in between the bolstered areas.
Even if your seat measurement is at 11" to 13", the Compact Car Cush ®is the right fit for your vehicle as it will sit in place and provide the support you need.
If you need a slightly wider cushion, consider Car Cush® with dimensions of 13" x 16".
Using your Compact Car Cush®
Place the cushion on your seating surface, with the handle and cut-out side to the back. Sit back on the cushion to ensure that your tailbone is suspended over the cut-out area. The cushion is designed to end slightly short (depth) of the front of your seating surface to allow knee clearance under a steering wheel and to accommodate a wide variety of seating surfaces.

My husband and I both have back issues and riding in the car has been a nightmare until we tried these seat /spine cushions. Now riding in the car is no problem. I am still getting used to the tilt but it is very comfortable!

Don't like the cutout.
I'm 5'3", 118 lbs. and like firm support. So I was disappointed with this product, which I chose because I thought the larger extra firm cushion (with no cutout) would be too large for my car seat. I understand there may be people out there who need a cutout. But for me it just meant a large area that wasn't useful or supportive, and I collapse into the hole. I ended up buying the 14 x 18" extra firm wedge, and am much happier with it. It doesn't have a cutout. Tush Cush, please consider offering more cushions without the cutout! And as far as I am concerned, the extra firm could be even firmer.

My Tush feels SO much better
I've struggled with my lower back/tailbone pain for years after being an office worker in front of a computer. I've bought all the fancy seat cushions advertised online and none helped much. I noticed my posture has been really poor while sitting and driving my older car and needed a cushion to help (instead of buying a new car, haha). Did a search online for a car cushion I hadn't yet purchased and landed on Tush-Cush! I ordered the compact car cush extra firm following their suggestion for a car seat with some bolster edges and my weight. My rear felt much better but I felt the compact wasn't wide enough, so I exchanged for the standard size Car Cush extra firm which works much better, and also bought a cushion for my office chair. I've really felt a difference! I think the cushion somehow has helped to tone my glutes a bit after I've been a couch potato since covid - HA. Their customer service is top notch!!

I have purchased 3 tush Cush so far. I use them I. My car and at the kitchen table and in my office. Just gave one of them to my sister for her wheelchair. Now I’m going to buy a few more!
These are great cushions and although I measured it did not work in my truck. I ordered direct from the company. Just know that if you need to return you have to pay the return postage and a 15% restocking fee. I think the restocking fee is absurd. Order from a company that does not cost you to return.
Over the last 3 years I've purchased several brands of sitting cushions only being sorely disappointed . Then I discovered your product through some specific search words such as American made . No comparison your product out performs all others brands even the number 1 rated brand . Thank you for putting your brand out here .

Awesome product!
We were referred to TushCush by a fellow tennis player who swore by this product. I ordered (initially the wrong item) and it shipped very quickly. It took a over a week for my husband to get used to using it, especially the forward tilt. So far, so great! I'm ordering one for me because his was so comfortable for me to use.
I fractured L5 vertebrae and twisted S1, sitting is difficult and often painful for me do to the damage that was done during this injury in 2009.
Initially, I thought I ordered the right item, but realized when the confirmation arrived that I ordered the wrong one. I emailed and then called (left a message) regarding my mistake and asked if they could ship me the one I was supposed to order and to provide an invoice so I can pay the difference.
I received a personal call back a few hours after my message and she completely understood my situation. She also reassured me that the shipping would be normal, not on a barge (30+ day transit time from California to Hawaii). I called on Friday morning and it arrived Monday afternoon.
I was very pleased and proud that the outside package has an American flag on the back.
I'm in love with this product and company. I'm now ordering a 2nd one so I can have my own.

It goes everywhere with me
I have a Compact-Car Cush in my home office, kitchen counter and two of our cars. I take one with me when I travel on planes. It helped relieve and now helps me avoid a recurrence of sciatica, because it correctly aligns my posture in seats and chairs. The suede microfiber is warm in the winter and not hot in the summer. Very easy to clean.

Love This Cushion in My Car!
I always dread taking long car trips, even though I am most likely the passenger, because my lower back gets stiff. When we stop, I feel stiff all over as I get out of the car. I bought this cushion and noticed the very first time I used it that I was not uncomfortable as we drove hours and each time I got out of the car, I moved easily - no more stiffness! Now I have the Car Cush for both the front seats in our big SUV and F250 and a Compact Car Cush in my Land Rover, which has slightly more narrow seats. I also like that I can grab the cushion by the handle and take it into the stadium now that we can get to football and soccer games again! Love our Tush Cush!
